Leaving everyday life and entering a completely unknown world will be your true challenge as a traveler. Navigate the great Amazon River, visit the riverside towns, enjoy Amazonian gastronomy, as well as acquire incredible handicrafts, made by indigenous hands with natural products, end the day with a wonderful sunset in the impressive Tarapoto Lakes, a natural refuge for dolphins and countless birds, it is a great experience that, without a doubt, you will remember forever.
By joining and being one more with the culture and daily life of the Amazonian natives, you will learn about their spiritual values, their respect for nature and how they obtain the necessary resources to survive, as well as ancestral uses and customs.

4 Days
- Reception at the Leticia airport in charge of our amazonian experience coordinator.
- Transportation to the Waira hotel located in Leticia and check in.
- Time to change your clothes.
- Departure walking towards the port of Leticia (4 blocks).
- Your first encounter with the great Amazon River, boat ride sighting the imaginary point of the three borders (Colombia-Brazil-Peru).
- Welcome lunch at El Pirarucu restaurant, floating raft on the river bank. (f you arrive at 2pm or later this lunch will be offered on the last day at the Waira hotel).
- City tour in Leticia walking through the handicraft shops, the ethnographic museum of the Bank of the Republic, and then walk to the Santander park to listen the concert of thousands of parrots that return to their nests.
- Free time to enjoy the hotel pool, dinner at the Waira hotel.
- Breakfast in the hotel.
- Departure walking towards the port of Leticia (4 blocks).
- Departure by boat through the great Amazon River towards the Marasha Nature Reserve – Peru (approx. 1 hour).
- Entrance to the nature reserve (From July to January is a 2 hrs walk and from February to June 1 hour canoeing).
- Accommodation in malocas.
- Traditional lunch from the Peruvian Amazon.
- Canoe and kayak lake tour.
- Fauna and flora sighting, traditional fishing.
- Dinner
- Activity: Aroma and sounds of the nocturnal jungle, canoe ride on the lake (possible sighting of the black caiman).
- Accommodation in malocas.
- Breakfast in the nature reserve.
- Walk out of the nature reserve towards the Amazon river.
- Transfer by speedboat through the river to Puerto Nariño.
- Visit to the Monkey Island, tour through the trails of the island and interaction with the primates present there.
- Visit to the Macedonian community. Dance, crafts and ancestral Tikuna culture.
- Arrival to the municipality of Puerto Nariño known as the ecological manger of Colombia.
- Lunch and then a walking tour of the municipality of Puerto Nariño.
- Boat tour of the Tarapoto lakes, observation of pink and gray dolphins. (In the months of August, September and October the water level of the river has dropped considerably, it is very possible that the entrance to the lakes cannot be done, in this case we have alternatives for the observation of the dolphins).
- Return by boat to the city of Leticia (Approx. 1 hour and a half).
- Return to Leticia, dinner and accommodation at the Waira Suite hotel.
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Free morning.
- Depending on the time of the flight, transfer to the airport.
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Road transfer to the Amazonian World Natural Park.
- Encounter with the Mother Forest through a wonderful eco tour through all the ecological stations of the park and its natural trails.
- Traditional amazonian lunch.
- Talk in an indigenous maloca with an ancestral connoisseur “A look from the indigenous eyes”.
- At the end of the afternoon you return to Leticia, then you will have time to rest and enjoy the hotel.
- Dinner and accommodation at the Waira Suite hotel.

- This itinerary may present modifications according to weather conditions, always preserving and respecting the scheduled activities, river transfers through the Amazon River will be made in shared boats.
