La costa pacífica del departamento del Chocó, es una región privilegiada para el turismo, dada la diversidad del paisaje, la naturaleza casi intacta, y la calidad de sus pobladores nativos. La corriente de Humboldt proporciona un caudal de pesca constante a lo largo del año con ejemplares de Marlín, Pez Vela, Dorado, Sierra Wahoo, Bravo, Pargo, Albacora, bancos de Sardina-Gallona, Mero, Cabrilla e infinidad de peces propios del arrecife fósil. Es frecuente observar bancos de delfines, y en los meses de junio, julio, agosto, septiembre y octubre podemos ver ballenas jorobadas en su retorno anual al Chocó. El paisaje submarino presenta una gran variedad en su fauna, muy superior a la usualmente encontrada en cualquier zona del Caribe.
Se presenta una gran diferencia de altura entre la marea alta y la marea baja, descubriéndose playas de cientos de metros de ancho y caprichosas formaciones de rocas, con hermosos acuarios naturales. El clima es cambiante por la proximidad a la selva y a la Serranía del Baudó. Un sol tórrido puede alternar con breves pero fuertes aguaceros, y un día cubierto no será una excepción en esta zona. De la selva bajan al mar cientos de arroyos y quebradas de aguas cristalinas. En su abundancia, el agua dulce forma cascadas y charcos siempre cerca, en donde tomar un agradable baño. La selva chocoana está considerada como una de las de mayor riqueza y variedad ecológica del mundo. Está allí para que la conozcamos, queramos y protejamos.

When it comes to having fun in Nuquí, you’ll find several options that can be arranged through the hotel; the cost may vary depending on the number of people.
- Please arrive at the airport at least one hour before your flight, with your original identification documents.
- To travel, both adults and children must present their original identification documents.
- The baggage allowance is 10 kilograms for checked luggage and 5 kilograms for carry-on luggage, depending on the type of aircraft used.
- If you arrive at José María Córdova International Airport in Rionegro to catch your connecting flight to Nuquí, please note that the transfer to Olaya Herrera Airport takes 50 minutes by taxi and costs approximately $90,000.
- When you arrive in Nuquí, put on shorts and sandals, as we’ll be taking a boat to the hotel and disembarking on the beach.
- We recommend wearing comfortable, quick-drying clothing, closed-toe shoes, a flashlight with rechargeable batteries, a raincoat, and sunscreen. Bring any prescription medications you need.
- If you have any type of waste, such as plastic or glass containers, grocery bags, etc., we kindly ask that you take them back to where you came from to help protect the ecosystem and prevent beach pollution.
- We do not accept electronic payments in Nuquí, so we recommend bringing cash in small denominations.
- The only cell phone service available is provided by the carrier Claro.
