Bogotá - Santa Marta

Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning guided visit to the Gold Museum.

Santa Marta - El Mamey - Camp 1

Breakfast at the hotel.
8:30 a.m. Transfer by 4×4 truck to the Mamey region, where we will have lunch and then start the search for the sacred place of the Tayronas (ancient inhabitants of the Lost City). At the end of the afternoon we arrive at Camp 1, in its surroundings we will find rivers where we can rest (if the weather allows it), then we will have dinner and there will be accommodations prepared in hammocks to rest and spend the night. This day we will walk 4 hours, 5-6 km mostly uphill, little downhill.

4 Day

Camp 1 - Camp 3
The day begins and we have an early breakfast, then we start walking along the Buritaca River valley, there we will find many houses that make up a Kogui Indian village called Mutanshi. Our journey of the day is approximately 7 hours (14.7 km, failing that more uphill, little downhill), passing through the Sierra Nevada jungle and meeting the natural diversity, until finally arriving directly at Camp 3 where we eat, rest and spend the night in hammocks or beds.

Camp 3 - Ciudad Perdida - Camp 2

Early in the morning we have breakfast, to start the ascent to our destination, we start by climbing 1. 200 steps, a path built by the Tayronas themselves, at the end of which we will find the longed-for Ciudad Perdida. Once there, the guide will show us and give us information about the magical place full of relics and ancestral stories, we will spend the morning enjoying the landscapes of the destination, having enough time to rest and take photographs (under the guide's supervision), finally we return to Camp 3 for lunch and continue on the same path back to Camp 2 where we will have dinner and spend the night, in beds and/or hammocks (depending on availability). This will be a 7 hour walk (6 km, otherwise up and down).

Camp 2 - Camp 1

We have an early breakfast, taking the road back to camp 1 where we spend the first night, where we rest the rest of the day, have lunch, dinner and rest tonight in hammocks. Here you will notice the difference between the four and five day tour. This will be a 4 hour walk, 6 km of ups and downs.

Camp 1 - El Mamey - Santa Marta

The last day of the adventure begins by having breakfast to continue the way back to the point where it all began, the way we will find rivers and waterfalls to refresh us, until finally arriving at Mamey where we will have lunch and the van will be waiting for us to return to the city of Santa Marta where we will arrive between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. (Depending on your group and their walking pace); having totally enjoyed a new enriching experience in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. This will be a 4 hour hike, 5 km between a short climb and a long descent.
Transfer to the Senda Hotels.
